The most picturesque Sarasota photography locations are just right around the corner. Some are hidden gems. While there are many great options, I always recommend using a venue that means something to you.
- the place you went on your first date
- your wedding venue
- your favorite vacation spot
- your home
- your grandmother’s backyard
It is incredibly important that you feel comfortable in your surroundings. Whats better than being with loved ones in a familiar place that’s meaningful to you?
Sarasota photography locations
Sarasota Bayfront Park
Located among tall palm trees, a gorgeous deep-water marina, Marina Jack’s trails, and the smooth rippling waters of Sarasota Bay, this location is beautiful for portrait sessions. Just a short walk around the marina, you come across sprawling banyan trees and rock-lined seawalls. This venue is pet friendly, so please bring your furry friends along!
Phillippi Estate Park
Phillippi Estate Park, located on the shores of Phillippi Creek, is a scenic, 60-acre natural area park. It is a classic setting offering large Oak trees draped in Spanish moss. The low hanging branches are picture-perfect for family sessions. There are nature trails, a small fishing pier among the mangroves, the historic Edson Keith Mansion, and a beautiful rose garden. Pet friendly!

Red Bug Slough Preserve
Red Bug Slough Preserve is an optimal spot for Florida nature lovers! The entire park is covered several miles of hiking trails. The paths are worn by local hikers making daily strolls through the trees and vines. This is a nature admirer’s dream location… and dogs are welcome!
Urfer Family Park
Urfer Family Park provides a 1-mile nature trail, winding through pine flatwoods, and adjacent to herbaceous and forested wetlands. A boardwalk also overlooks wetland areas.
Siesta Key Beach
Near the north end of Siesta Key Beach lies large rocks and a time-warn concrete pier. What is great about this area is that the beach is far less crowded, the large rocks add visual interest, and you are able to catch that AMAZING Siesta Key sunset!
